Paperturn is a cloud-based SaaS company with an award-winning software product, platform and service that enables businesses to create, share, monetize and measure content via online flipbooks.
Headquartered in Denmark, we’re a dedicated team providing online flipbook software to thousands of clients in over 50 countries worldwide, including the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Germany and France.
Although our turnover is currently below the statutory requirement for a public modern slavery statement, we feel that it is important to demonstrate our commitment towards ensuring that modern slavery does not take place within our organisation.
To this end, we are committed to upholding laws such as the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (UK), the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Australia) and other similar worldwide legislations which aim to combat modern slavery and human trafficking.
Paperturn has a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery, including human trafficking and forced labour. We have the following processes in place to solidify our commitment to ending Modern Slavery:
Prior to engaging a new vendor, we require them to acknowledge that they do not, have not, and will not, engage in Modern Slavery via our vendor risk assessment.
We provide regular training to our personnel on all of our policies, including our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy.
We monitor and review the risks of Modern Slavery in our operations and supply chains on an annual basis.
As a SaaS company, Paperturn does not “manufacture” in the traditional sense with the use of factories. Our “suppliers” are mainly service providers (e.g., data centres that host our solution; other SaaS vendors; marketing companies and professional service companies (e.g. law firms, payroll providers and accountants)). As stated above, all of our vendors are required to certify that they do not, have not and will not engage in Modern Slavery and we rely on them to self-audit or monitor their own supply chains on an ongoing basis.
We consider our modern slavery risk to be generally low, particularly because of the sector in which we operate (SaaS/tech), the nature of our supply chains, and the values and to which our employees, contractors, consultants and suppliers are required to adhere to; however, should Paperturn become aware of any issues related to slavery or human trafficking, we will consult with our legal team to ensure that appropriate measures are taken, which may include reporting this information to authorities and terminating our relationship with any supplier conducting its business in such a manner.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the 2024 financial year.
